The bases and water reservoirs are made completely of high-quality glass resin, and with minimal care, these fountains and the spheres will last one day short of forever.
The three inch spheres come in many varieties, including marble, granite, quartz, agate, and others, and any sphere may be combined with any fountain. They actually float and rotate on water and never come in contact with the fountain surface while it is running. These small fountains are completely self-contained, totally and completely waterproof, only requiring water and electricity.
The tiny, silent-running pumps are submerged in the water, out of sight, within the fountain. They come with a limited guarantee.
Some fountains use a patent-pending underwater light. This is the first and only submersible light to be made completely from LED lamps (light-emitting diode). They produce absolutely no heat, so create no algae buildup, use only a small amount of electricity and will last about 100,000 hours, or about 11 ½ years.
The base footprint depends upon style, currently 8 x 10 inches, 9 x 14 inches, and 12 x 12 inches round.
